Measuring is knowing

The test facility is designed to exactly replicate the situation on board. There is room for two engines. The engines can test run loaded by means of electrical resistance. This measures the speed and torque. In addition, temperatures, pressures, fuel and emission values, turbocharging, etc. are measured.

All this information enables YES to perfectly tune engines to suit your needs. After testing is completed, the test reports are handed over to the customer. The engine is now ready to be installed.

Certifications & maximum reliability

After the engine passed the tests in the test facility, all precautions were taken to deliver a good product. The risk of complications after onboard assembly has become very small. This is a pleasant thought for both the customer and YES. Especially since YES places overhauled engines all over the world.

Test facility energy supply

During engine testruns, a lot of energy is generated. This energy is usually lost immediately. At YES, we don’t like to waste it, so we thought carefully about the design of our test facility. We are proud of the fact that our test facility is almost completely energy neutral. This is because the energy generated by the motors during testing is converted to electricity. We can use this electricity for our business and all other energy is fed back into Delta N.V.’s grid.
